A AUAU é uma organização que visa a apresentação e difusão de obras contemporâneas, e o desenvolvimento de outros projetos de índole criativa e artística. Além de gerir os seus núcleos de produção, organiza o Festival Semibreve, que é um festival exploratório de música eletrónica e arte digital que decorre em Braga, Portugal, desde 2011, o Festival OCUPA, que promove uma perspetiva sobre a produção artística nos domínios da música eletrónica e arte digital por artistas oriundos ou residentes em Braga, programa para eventos de entidades parceiras, desenvolve projetos de curadoria e criação, e tem parcerias nacionais e internacionais na área da música, arte digital, integrando redes e projetos internacionais. Desde 2021 também possui um espaço de residências artísticas cuja programação foi designada por Ciclo da Frágua.
AUAU is an organisation that aims to present and disseminate contemporary works and develop other creative and artistic projects. As well as managing its production centres, it organises the Semibreve Festival, which is an exploratory electronic music and digital art festival that has been taking place in Braga, Portugal, since 2011, the OCUPA Festival, which promotes a perspective on artistic production in the fields of electronic music and digital art by artists from or living in Braga, programmes for events by partner organisations, develops curatorial and creative projects, and has national and international partnerships in the field of music and digital art, integrating international networks and projects. Since 2021, it has also had a space for artist residencies, the programme of which has been called Ciclo da Frágua.
Numa parceria com o Festival SINSAL a auau irá desenvolver uma atividade inédita no seu portfólio. No dia 31 de Julho realizará uma visita turística por vários espaços da cidade, nos quais se incluem os habitualmente utilizados em cada edição do Semibreve. É uma primeira iniciativa de parceria entre estes dois festivais do Norte de Portugal e Galiza.
In partnership with the SINSAL Festival, auau will be organising an event that is a first for the organisation. On 31 July, it will host a guided tour of various venues across the city, including those traditionally used for each edition of Semibreve. This marks the first collaborative initiative between these two festivals from Northern Portugal and Galicia
A propósito do desmantelamento da Refinaria de Matosinhos, e focando-se na riqueza acústica e visual dos seus tanques de armazenamento de combustível e matérias-primas, Miguel Pedro, António Rafael e Luís Fernandes recolheram o material sonoro, desde a amplificação do som provocado pelas estruturas até a sua excitação com recurso a sintetizadores e outros aparelhos electrónicos, e Miguel C. Tavares o material visual específico da sua paisagem, para resgatarem a memória associada à actividade daquele lugar e transformá-la em matéria artística pela reinterpretação dos ecos e ruídos que dele restam. Após a sua estreia em Matosinhos, entre 09 de Junho e 07 de Dezembro, a instalação RICOCHETE fará parte da exposição “lugar-depois” do Museu Zero - Tavira - Algarve.
Regarding the dismantling of the Matosinhos Refinery, and focusing on the acoustic and visual richness of its fuel and raw material storage tanks, Miguel Pedro, António Rafael, and Luís Fernandes collected sound material, from the amplification of the sound caused by the structures to its excitation using synthesizers and other electronic devices, and Miguel C. Tavares collected specific visual material from its landscape, in order to rescue the memory associated with the activity of that place and transform it into artistic material by reinterpreting the echoes and noises that remain from it. Following its debut in Matosinhos between 9 June and 7 December, the installation RICOCHETE will form part of the exhibition “lugar-depois” at Museu Zero in Tavira, Algarve.

Durante 18 meses iremos apoiar aquela entidade na implementação de diversas ações na área das artes na região do Alto Minho, com propostas de iniciativas que valorizem o património e a atividade artística da região.
auau has been selected to provide consultancy services for the development of the HABITAT 365 . ALTO MINHO project, promoted by the Alto Minho Intermunicipal Community. Over the course of 18 months, we will support the organisation in implementing a range of arts-related initiatives in the Alto Minho region, proposing projects that highlight the region’s heritage and artistic activity.
Depois do convite do Cinema Batalha para revisitar a curta “estórias do gato e da lua” do realizador Pedro Serrazina, Mão Morta Redux foi convidado a estender esse programa com mais 2 curtas do mesmo realizador que serão apresentadas no festival Curtas de Vila do Conde (23 de Julho) e na celebração dos 25 anos da atividade de animação do Cine Clube de Faro (03 de Julho).
Following an invitation from Cinema Batalha (Porto) to revisit the short film “Estórias do Gato e da Lua” by director Pedro Serrazina, Mão Morta Redux was invited to expand this programme with two further short films by the same director, which will be screened at the Curtas de Vila do Conde festival (23 July) and at the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the animation programme at Cine Clube de Faro (3 July).
A auaufeiomau esteve em Berlim entre os dias 15 e 17 de abril no âmbito da rede TIMES, onde participa devido ao Festival Semibreve.
Auaufeiomau was in Berlin from 15 to 17 April as part of the TIMES network, in which it participates through the Semibreve Festival.
A CIM-Cávado lançou o desafio à auaufeiomau para desenvolver um programa com 6 escolas dos concelhos desta comunidade intermunicipal (Esposende, Barcelos, Braga, Vila Verde, Amares e Terras de Bouro). Durante o ano de 2026, músicos, atores, designers, arquitetos, fotógrafos irão trabalhar com os alunos em torno da ideia JULGO - um ato contínuo”, refletindo, desenvolvendo objetos artísticos e competências sociais e artísticas que cruzam a arte com a vida quotidiana.
CIM-Cávado has set auaufeiomau the challenge of developing a programme involving six schools from the municipalities within this intermunicipal community (Esposende, Barcelos, Braga, Vila Verde, Amares and Terras de Bouro). Throughout 2026, musicians, actors, designers, architects and photographers will work with the pupils around the theme ‘JULGO – a continuous act’, reflecting on and developing artistic objects and social and artistic skills that bridge the gap between art and everyday life.
